The American Institute of Architects Idaho is pleased to announce and welcome their 2019 Idaho state board officers. AIA is a 90,000 strong nationwide professional organization that helps architects serve the
public’s needs while building awareness of the role architects and architecture play in American society. AIA Idaho state chapter of The American Institute of Architects was founded in 1951 and currently represents over 300 licensed architects and professional affiliate members.

Jeremy C. Jeffers, AIA, NCARB, Principal Architect of Jeremy C. Jeffers, Architect, LLC, Boise, Idaho
Jeremy Jeffers is a graduate of the University of Idaho, and holds architectural licenses in ID, MT, NV, UT, WA and NB (emeritus). He is certified in Construction Documents Technology by the Construction Specifications Institute and is also certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Besides serving as the AIA Idaho State President, Mr. Jeffers serves on the Advisory Board for the West Ada School District’s Pre-Engineering Program. Jeremy provides independent architectural consulting services. His work includes property and building systems analysis, construction loan monitoring services, residential design and small commercial projects. Jeremy is experienced in the retail/commercial architectural profession, specializing in architectural design, remodels, and project management. As a director for a commercial retail corporation, he was responsible for project feasibility studies, coordination of due diligence, production and implementation of construction contract documents, project schedule management, as well as budget and contract administration for projects throughout 22 states.
Leland J. Dille, AIA, Principal Architect of Design Place, PLLC, Pocatello, Idaho
Leland Dille, AIA is a graduate of the Brigham Young University and the principal of Design Place, PLLC in Pocatello, Idaho. Leland has had experience with a broad range of projects including educational facilities, law enforcement correctional facilities, office buildings, religious, commercial, governmental, industrial, housing and recreational facilities. His practice of architecture has extended to national level with completed projects in 14 states. Mr. Dille’s Idaho state certification as a Technical Assistance Survey Analyst qualified him to perform energy audits for statewide public owned facilities. In addition, Mr. Dille has provided specialized services in master planning, and historic restoration and preservation. Leland has presented seminars on office design and the Americans with Disabilities Act Guidelines and attended numerous seminars and conferences related to his profession. Mr. Dille has served as the Chairman of the Idaho Falls Housing Authority, and as a member of the Governor’s Housing Advisory Council, the Idaho Falls Urban Renewal Architectural Review Board, the Idaho Falls Historical Preservation Commission, and the Neighborworks Pocatello Outcomes 2 Committee. Leland has also served as the AIA Idaho Eastern Section President. Mr. Dille is currently licensed in Idaho and Wyoming and is serving as the President Elect on the AIA Idaho board.
Chad Blincoe, AIA, Principal Architect of Blincoe Architecture, Ketchum, Idaho
Chad Blincoe, AIA, is the Principal Architect and owner of Blincoe Architecture since 2013. Mr. Blincoe is a graduate of the Phoenix Institute of Technology and he brings on board a wealth of professional experience in complete project design and management. Chad’s career has been focused on designing custom homes in Idaho, California, Wyoming, Hawaii and Montana. Mr. Blincoe specializes in custom residential design with project budgets in excess of $10 million. Chad has been with AIA Idaho since 2013 and previously served as the President and Secretary Treasurer of the AIA Idaho Mountain Section. He enjoys spending time with family, hunting, fishing and exercise.
Ellie Thomas, AAIA, Architect in Training, Lombard Conrad Architects, Boise Idaho
Ellie Thomas holds a Master in Architecture degree from the University of Idaho and has worked at Lombard Conrad Architects since 2014 as an Architect in Training. Ms. Thomas is skilled in Project Management, Design, CAD BIM, and Construction Administration. Ellie is the winner of the 2018 AIA Idaho Associate Member of the Year Award. Ellie loves to travel and explore new places, claiming that Italy will always hold her heart, but deep down, we know, she will always be a true Idahoan.
John Day, AIA, NCARB, Slichter | Ugrin Architecture, Boise, Idaho
John Day is a graduate of the University of Idaho and brings 25 years of diversified project experience to AIA Idaho board. It’s only in casual conversation you’ll learn that John once lived in New Jersey while working construction and later spent eight months in Scotland wandering the
green rolling hills and contemplating life. These days you can find John traveling between Idaho, Washington, Oregon, and California managing his multiple projects.
