When complete this 4 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom 4,400 ft2 custom home designed by Berlum Development, neUdesign Architecture, and Stack Rock Group will feature top of the line finishes and cutting edge technology.
As we kicked-off the design for this project, we knew our client’s minimalist, contemporary style would provide the perfect opportunity to integrate the true meaning of indoor/outdoor Idaho living.Arrow Tallman, Berlum Vice President
The building lot boasts cliffside views of downtown Boise, Table Rock, and Albertson’s stadium. From within the home’s 14-foot ceilings, there will be disappearing glass walls opening up to the uniquely designed 360 degree infinity-edge pool and spa, expansive terrace, and outdoor kitchen.
The main living area sits atop a commercial pedestal-inspired 1,200 ft2 subterranean parking garage. This area includes 53 linear feet of continuous glass pocketing doors allowing a seamless connection to the outdoors.
“The contemporary home design incorporates a lot of commercial building techniques not normally found in residential homes,” said Arrow Tallman, Berlum owner and Vice President. “Cast-in-place concrete walls of varying heights and the expansive structural steel beams and columns provide maximum clearspan for uninterrupted views of downtown Boise and beyond.”
We’ve also integrated a boiler system with radiant tubing throughout for efficient heating. In addition, we’ve utilized heat exchangers from the boiler to heat driveways, pools, exterior walkways and outdoor patios.”Mike Stock, owner and President of Berlum Development
Additional commercial building-style elements include a 10-inch thick INSUL-DECK flooring system for maximum energy efficiency & the Hi-Finity Reynaers USA sliding glass doors.
